民国，宁城巡捕房接到报案，梁氏商贸公司总经理梁春死在了婚床上。巡捕房的探长伍士德，通过对梁春和惠美童年时期的调查，发现梁春的性刺激使惠美在新婚一大早又一次出现‘晨间僵死’症状。梁春醒过来看到这一现象，以为妻子暴死，童年时被父亲强迫吃生猪肉的经历在他的心灵形成很深的创伤，造成精神上的自我强迫症。大学时吃人体标本事件，又进一步加深了他的病症。所以新婚妻子赤裸的‘尸体’才会给他极其强烈的惊吓冲击，以致气绝身亡。而惠美醒来后看到丈夫暴毙，本来就非常脆弱的心灵根本无法承受这样的现实，就在潜意识里强迫自己遗忘眼前的一切，也就是间歇性失忆，她在无意识的情况下穿上睡衣，离开了新房……
